The thing I did before any of the rest.
Music was my first love and it will be my last. I drummed on my mother's pots before I could read; the first kit came at four, lessons at six, and a few first prizes at Jugend Musiziert as a teenager. At seventeen I registered as self-employed to invoice the music videos and concert films I was shooting. Classical structures felt too rigid, so I started producing in my childhood bedroom, studied a few semesters at Hochschule der Medien, and left when a record deal came through. After chart placements as a producer and singer, I stepped back from the music career to focus on my new role as a dad. What I kept is the studio itself: long nights where you had to deliver under pressure, in one take, with the room waiting. That is the composure I lean on now, in a hard week with the family or a heated coding session.
